guac.

Its a little colder outside than it was yesterday, which is no surprise since we had overcast skies all day.  I don't mind rainy days,; I just prefer sunny days.  It is weird to me getting up when it is still dark outside.  I need the sun so my internal alarm clock will register the time.

After class I had to run over to my parents' house to let out our foster dog.  Her adoption is getting finalized on Saturday then she will be heading home with her new family.  It will be sad, but it is cool knowing we helped out an animal in need.  I'm sure I will be writing more about this next week when our house is quieter than normal.

Anyway, my mutter is usually home all day so the dog doesn't have to chill out in her kennel.  When we got there she was so excited to see us and get some playtime in.  I could only stay about an hour because I had another class, but my mutter was on her way home so it was all right.

My night class ended up going to a graphic design exhibition by The Aesthetic Apparatus—a design company based in Minneapolis.  It was a neat show and some of their work I really enjoyed.  Here are some of my favorite pieces:

This particular piece was not at the show, but there were ones
from this collection featuring the monster and birds.

Unfortunately I snacked all day so I wasn’t really hungry, but when I got home I did want more snacks so I decided to make guacamole. Sadly since I am new to this blogging I forgot to take a photo, but there will be photos with other recipes if I can get good pictures.  Anyway it was delicious if I do say so myself so I have written the recipe below.

St2’s Guacamole

Ingredients
2 small, dark green ripe avocadoes
Juice of 1 fresh lime
1 T fresh cilantro, chopped
¼ piece of a small red onion, chopped
1 plum tomato, chopped
1 fresh jalapeno, seeded and chopped
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
dash of garlic powder

Instructions
  1. Squeeze the fresh lime into a bowl.  Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.  Mix.  Add the avocado, onion, jalapeño, tomato, and cilantro.  Mix.
  2. Serve with chips.
NOTE: If you don’t like it as chunky, adding another avocado will help along with mixing a little longer.  The jalapeño isn’t necessary, but I love spice so I include it wherever I can.

I have never written a recipe before so sorry if it is hard to read or anything.  I was just making this up so I have nothing to go off of.  I find it easier to follow short, simple directions so that how I wrote it.

Well since it is only Wednesday I have homework that is due tomorrow, so that’s all for today.  I hope everyone is enjoying this so far.  I promise I will get better.

Bonsoir.
